Matt and Ellen began serving in Honduras in 1996 through short term mission trips and in the fall of 2009 they joined the mission agency, Equip International, which purposes to serve the poorest of the poor through practical helps integrated with Scriptural discipleship.

The country they serve in, Honduras, exports both bananas and coffee to the US but unfortunately is best known for being the 2nd poorest country in the western hemisphere and for having the highest murder rate in the world.

Matt and Ellen work in an integrated approach of Biblical discipleship together with practical helps. Most often they are able to make an object lesson of the practical help that corresponds to the Bible lesson. They also help in several children and youth programs bringing fun programs which are also used as object lessons reinforcing the Bible lesson. They lead a puppet program which purposes to teach Biblical truth through the fun of puppetry and have performed in churches, public schools and even in open parks!

In everything Matt and Ellen are striving to share the truth and love of Jesus in both action and word!

Windswept Academy is a private, non-denominational Christian school, dedicated to providing students from the Cheyenne River Indian Reservation with a Christ-centered, quality, academic education in a Biblically directed learning environment. In addition to our challenging academic program, our curriculum also includes the history of music, art and a rigorous physical education program. In September 2015, we began our seventh year with 68 students ranging from Kindergarten to Ninth grade. Our mission is to prepare students for leadership and Christian service in their community and the world.

The 12th of March 2002, God was at work in Condega, Nicaragua and we joined Him there. As we look back over thirteen years of faithfully proclaiming God’s love in this sun-scorched land, we give thanks for a bountiful harvest. From Condega to neighboring Palacaguina, crossing a river into Los Ranchos or high on top of a mountain in Cuje, we have witnessed the hand of God impacting lives for Him. Those who have experienced these mission trips radiate the abundance of joy that comes through placing a pair of shoes on the feet of a child, embracing a family under the canopy of a new tin roof that was once black plastic or looking into the eyes of an elderly woman overwhelmed by the blessing of a bag full of rice and beans. Believers now gather under one roof worshiping their Savior as the riches of God’s grace echo throughout their communities. Our desire at RBC is to impact our world for Christ as together we are the instruments used of God for the nations.

The SBC of Virginia is a fellowship of more than 670 churches dedicated to the fulfillment of the Great Commission. The convention began in 1996 based on a belief in the inerrancy of Scriptures and committed to church planting as a means to reach the world for Christ. We're supported by your church's contributions through the Cooperative Program and the Vision Virginia State Missions Offering.

The purpose of CBM is teaching the Bible, evangelizing the unreached, discipling believers, including school students and adults, encouraging and equipping them for active service for Jesus Christ in their community, local church and on to the world.
