What does BLESS stand for?
Rooted in the calling of Genesis 12, the B.L.E.S.S. strategy exists to inspire people to be the church — to everyone, everywhere, and every day. It is a five-practice approach to evangelism and prayer that encourages people to own the lostness of their own neighborhoods by loving God and loving their neighbors.
Begin with Prayer
Identify at least 1 person who may be far from God but is close to you. Begin by praying daily for them.
Listen with Care
Listen to the Spirit, and for evidence of God’s work in people’s lives. Ask questions that invite others to tell their stories, reveal their hearts, and discover the truth.
Eat Together
Share meals, coffee, and life with people who do not yet know Jesus.
Serve in Love
Be attentive of the opportunities God provides you to serve people and attend to their needs.
Share your story
Look for ways to share your story of how Jesus has saved you, transformed a part of your life, or is currently transforming your life.
